Kalo Limeni.   Wednesday, 1st August, 2012.

The weather reports show lots of wind on the other side of Cephalonia and out to sea but in between Ithaca and Cephalonia it is quite quiet.  As the noise of the taverna’s and bars have gone on until 5.30 in the morning we have all decided it is time to find a quiet bay for a couple of nights to get some sleep.

Therefore we motored down the Straits of Ithakis into Limeni bay where we have enjoyed a lovely day of swimming and reading our books before taking our portable throw away BBQ’s onto the stoney shore and cooking our dinner. I saw my first Kingfisher fly close over the rocks near to Ariel.

The peaceful night was bliss and today we have wakening to another beautiful day with people arriving in ribs, flotilla boats and families on the beach all enjoying themselves.  We hope to stay here another night if the wind allows us.
