We had coffee at the favourite restaurant before leaving this lovely little village of Vathi.  A van with an open back came along the quay with three in the cab, six kids lying on what looked like the first floor and underneath them a open van full of what look like their belongings.  On a tail gate was several big bags of red onions.  They sold one bag to a local house and then turned and came back down the quay stopping at the fishing boat but no one was on board and then it went on its way and turned out of the village.  The baby being held on the first floor where there were no safety nets just carpets to lay on was only about 4 to 6 months.  I just wonder how these people survive.

Frank and Sue leave us on Thursday so we needed to make our way to Aigina and be safely on the wall in order for them to be able to catch the ferry at lunch time and we couldn’t risk leaving it until the actual day so we motored along past Angistri island to Aigina and arrived just in time for lunch.   Afterwards Frank went for a long walk and Jim, Sue and I went to the beach for a swim and chill.

Our last evening together was spent in a fish restaurant which is very rated by the locals but we did not feel the same and had wished we had moved to another location.  Saying that Frank and I had Dorado which was beautiful cooked but expensive as they obviously weighed it and the view was nonexistent with no atmosphere.  Just a mistake on our behalf to take others advice.

4th July, 2013.

Frank and Sue did some shopping and we had coffee overlooking the beach at the other end of the quay before we set off for the Flying Dolphin which comes into the quay about 200 yards away from Ariel.  It was sad to see them go but hopefully we will meet up again in September in a different location.

Jim and I are planning to spend a few nights here before we return to Poros to do a few jobs and then set off on our new journey planned for this year.
