Tuesday 2nd July, 2019.

We had fun over the weekend with anchors being caught.  Yachts and super yachts coming in and nowhere to go except if you were a big ship and had radioed first and a place was saved for you as soon as someone left.  On Sunday morning we were up early and luckily one or two left and we moved over to the harbour wall by the restaurants so we were in the right place for Angie and Nicki to meet us on Monday afternoon.

Jim’s cousins sailed with us in Corfu so they are accustomed to Ariel.  It was lovely to see them as they came off the dolphin ferry late afternoon.  After a beer on board it was a quick change for a well deserved swim at the little beach.  The water was warm and Angie and Nicki were pleased to cool down after their flight from Bristol.  We had made a booking at our now favourite restaurant in Aeigina and we were not disappointed with the roast pork from the spit.

The weather has promised to be excellent all week so the girls are very lucky.  We thought we would try out a new anchorage to us for lunch and what a good choice it was.  It is just on the north end of the Dhoroussa Channel.  We anchored in 12 metres looked at the pretty people on the rocks hiding under palm umbrellas and took a swim before lunch.

What a lunch it was.  Jim had been to the fish market in the morning early and got one kilo of large prawns which gave us 34 prawns which he cooked and I dished up with salad.  It was a feast and just what you expect on Ariel cruises.
