17th May, 2011.

Heading north on a beautiful day now the wind had dropped considerably we managed to sail 9/10’s of the 46.38 miles only using the engine to round the corner between the mainland and the islands. The wind was so light the spinnaker had to come out to play for a while until the wind decided to increase with the afternoon sun.  The two boats which rounded the corner at the same time as us arrived two and half hours later.  I must admit the spinnaker does do a good job in the right air.

We made good time and arrived safely in time for dinner.
