Last night the outboard came back. So today we have decided to head for the top bay of Poros for the beautiful 360 degree views. Amazing the first little bay was free so we motored over to a couple we know who stay in the bay for the whole season.  Unfortunately, for them they lost their stainless anchor two weeks ago in the storm and are hoping a diver friend will find it when he arrives. They won’t move at all just in case it pulled up by another yacht.

After a little chat we motored and anchored in the first bay and had a wonderful afternoon and evening with the beautiful scenery.  The next morning we went to leave after breakfast and with Jim on the anchor there was no movement only to let more chain out.  Gosh, it takes a while to bring in thirty metres of chain and a 25 kg anchor.  Thank goodness there was hardly any wind and after a bit of heaving the anchor appeared.  Luckily Jim had spotted an electrician working on one of the boats earlier in the week and had a card for him so he phoned him and he was waiting on the jetty for us when we got there.  Within an hour he had sorted the problem and located a part from the chandlers and we were back to normal.

We stayed the evening on the quay and managed to polish one side of Ariel.  We deserved an ice-cream and a walk along the quay boat watching.
