27.8.09.  32 miles sailed and then anchored in a small picturesque bay that is home to the small town of La Herradura.  Atlantic dolphins were sighted shortly after leaving Benalmadena once we reached deep water and started to transit across the large bay.  They were busy feeding and had no interest in Ariel to come and pay with the bow wave.  The bay at La Herradura was flanked at either end with magnificent large villas built at times into the cliff face and right onto the extreme of the promontory.  One wondered on the value of some of these properties – ‘location, location, location’ came to mind, a location that money could not buy unless you had lots of it.  After anchoring we had a lovely swim in the gin clear warm sea, about 32º C and watched the sun go down behind the cliffs at the NW corner of the bay.
