September, 2014.
A lovely bright sunny day still with the wind blowing lightly down the mountain but we need to move to Poros so Frank and Sue can get their ferry on Thursday. Once out of the harbour we reefed the main as the wind was blowing straight off the first headland. Once around it the wind abated and we had the genny out and by the next headland we were losing the wind and the engine had to go on for a few minutes.
Once we rounded the next headland the wind was back with us and we were sailing along nicely again heading for the channel into Poros bay. A lovely sail with a few tacks and it was not long before we were tied up on the quay. We had covered 17.81 miles. Poros is a beautiful island and it was great to see it again.
Jim and I found the butcher’s restaurant with a view which is where we all went to eat last night. The meat was excellent and the view over the harbour good.
