We left Puerto De La Duquesta after watching the camper vans moving on from the beach parking, the tractor levelling the sand and the café opening up for another hot day.
We had a lovely sunny day and we motor sailed along the coast 33 miles to Fuengirola . We were very lucky that the marina office offered us the last space available on the end of the ferry pontoon with strict instructions we needed to be gone by the time the first ferry arrived at 11.20 a.m. This knew we could do this without any problems. The Spanish are not really willing to welcome visitors as we are in the Solent. They have hundreds of local boats all moored bow or stern to the wall next to each other without any pontoons which we are use to. Often it is a case of squeezing in between two boats when you don’t think the space will accommodate you. So far we have managed it as with a little help they all move sideways a little.
We went for a walk in the late evening into the town of Fuengirola. Hundreds of people were wandering around and lots of holiday makers were enjoying the fun fair fixed for the season.

Jim and Mark after breakfast went to the local town municipal market. We were rewarded with a lovely piece of tuna for four for dinner. There have only been 3 very good markets so far, Santander, Lagos and Fuengirola.
