Chris, Angie, Nicki and I took the ferry to Hydra for the day. I just love the place it has little shops, restaurants to die for and scenery out of this world especially in the bright sunshine. The donkeys carry suitcases up the cobbled streets and steps to hotels as no cars are allowed on Hydra and the streets are so small. Fascinating!!!!
Jim stayed with Ariel as the wind was pretty strong and he couldn’t run the risk of the wind direction changing.
Hydra is not good for yachts to moor as very few spaces, lots of small fishing boats in the little harbour, hundreds of water taxis’s in the corner, the larger day ferries coming and going and not to mention the Dolohin ferry, his little jet friend and the large 3 islands in a day ferry it is busy, busy, busy and not really a yachtsman’s safe harbour.
We found spinach tart with Parmesan and cream. Perfect something to die for!!!!
