Launch day 6 September, 2014.
We were up early and ready to be put in the water at 9.30 a.m. Everything went smoothly with the launch and it was not long before we found a buoy to spend a couple of days on while we sorted ourselves out.
We had picked up the genoa from the sail repairers while we had the car so we were able to inspect it once up. Jim was not happy with the work as the minimum was done and he will take it up with the chap when he returns from his holiday. The 135 euros was not cheap for a job which probably took a maximum of an hour with very little material used.
Sunday 7th September, 2014.
A beautiful day with a swim before lunch. Just before five o’clock we noticed the black clouds forming on the mountains and started to put away the cushions etc. . Our friends had just arrived back from their two day trip and were going ashore in their dinghy when the rain started. They took shelter on Ariel with refreshments available as the thunder and lightning started and the heavens opened. It rained continuously for two hours. The Greeks were very pleased to see the rain as everywhere was looking very dry.
