After the girls left we spent a couple of days on anchor by the old fortress in Corfu town before moving back to Gouvia for shopping. While getting fuel we spotted the yacht on the sand bar way out of the channel, silly boy! It is just opposite the famous church which is shown in all the information about Corfu and even appears in the snow globes. Afterwards we decided to head south to check out Cephalonia and Ithaca before our next visitors arrive stopping on our way at Gaios for the night having travelled 29.56 miles.  We had a wonderful sail all the way down to the foot of Corfu and across the short distance of the Ionian Sea to Paxos Island.  Three ferries were obviously in a race as they passed us by. The day was lovely and warm and the wind was SW 3 to 4. The sun set was wonderful. The number of yachts sailing in this area seems to have doubled in the last couple of weeks and there are many three and four deckers anchored here and there.  No sightings of any dolphins although the weather was perfect for it.
