37:07.47N 25:14.08E Paros Island, Naousa harbour
Wednesday 12th June, 2019.
We bought beautiful fresh Greek bread for breakfast and left Tinos harbour soon afterwards for Paros.
We sailed the 24.2 miles into the harbour of Naousa and the wind picked up as we headed towards the land. Luckily we found a place in the harbour and stern-too and picked up the lazy line once we were in the right position.
The beach is just 100 yards away from the harbour and the sea temperature is so much warmer than we have experienced this year. The water was crystal clear and just so inviting a swim just had be done.
After inviting a Cruising Association couple we met in Tinos over for drinks we went for dinner. The village is so typical Greek with little alleyways and restaurants and shops at every turning. We couldn’t believe it as this sleepy little village suddenly became a very busy “Santorini”. Every restaurant was full and people were being turned away. All we could think was that everyone was busy during the day or staying in hotels and came out to eat. We read that Naousa was for the island jetset so we are in the right place with beautiful Ariel.
