02.15 a.m. woken to howling wind and rain coming in the hatches. All closed down and back to sleep as the best we could.

Lots of  chartered boats were making their way back to where they chartered their yachts.  There were tangled anchors and lots of shouting.  The harbour divers were  very busy.  One charter was so bad at parking managing to side swipe three other yachts the diver jumped on board and reversed the yacht safely into position after releasing the other boats.  Unfortunately, our friend Brian  who had left his boat to go to Athens had damage to his boat.  Jim telephoned him at home and he was on the next ferry to find the amount of damage and no one wanting to take responsibility.

We heard about the medicane storm over Kefalonia and Karditsa thank goodness it headed south and didn’t come our way.  The damage of the storm caused flooding, yachts and boats destroyed and loss of life

We love our way of life but we never take for granted the power of the wind and the sea.....
