Next morning we headed off for the Levkas bridge opening and lunched while waiting for the next early afternoon opening. The wind started to blow and we started to move on the anchor so we had to take the anchor up for the last few minutes and jockey around.
Once the bridge opened we were on our way we managed to sail to Port Spiglia and pull onto the taverna quay. The cold beers with the glasses from the freezer were a great reward after a good afternoon’s sail. Dinner at the tavern consisted of the most delicious black bream, the best fish we have eaten this holiday.
The next morning we walked up the winding road to the village for a stupendous view over the north part of the island and out across the water to Skorpios island. Wonderful!
