Thursday 24th September, 2020.
Jim wanted to try out a restaurant we had been told about in Korfos and had never managed to eat there so with regret I took up the anchor and with the main up we set off for Korfos. Hardy any wind but just enough to keep us sailing the 10 miles approximately. The big thrill was seeing tuna jumping in the bay near Ariel. Unfortunately, we didn’t have our line out this time!!!
Mari and Brian in Genevieve were soon on our toes. We anchored in the top corner as we don’t like the moorings at the restaurants. Too public for us.
After drinks on board we set off to the beach and tied the dinghy up to a tree just in case of any water splashing up on the beach causing any chance of the dinghy floating off.
We walked to the restaurant but it looked shut and we were just going to give up when the restaurant owner appeared and started to set up tables. There was no way we were going to miss out so we sprayed our hands and found a table well away from the others. Instantly we were offered drinks and given a menu. The blue tablecloth restaurant served us beautiful food and we were extremely happy as the bill was not expensive. We will go there again just for this restaurant.
Unfortunately, the night didn’t turn out as good as the day weather as the wind came from the north.
