We were lucky to have Ariel lifted before the storm which hit a force 10 in Levkas came through that night.  The lift went well and after an hour or so she was in her winter space without any problems.  Later it rained with thunder and lightning flashing across the sky which from the marina restaurant was quite a show. Everyone jumped when it clashed over head as we were in a summer tented area.  Frank and Sue were great helpers as there are so many jobs to be done in order for the lift to go well.  Luckily the marina is happy for us to stay on board which is great.

We were very surprise to find at least ten young puppies in the yard all running around.  We did see Mum on occasions and it appears that several of the pups disappeared over the weekend to homes.  It was not hard to keep feeding them as everyone felt so sorry for them especially when the weekend was so wet.  The local rescue team we understand were finding homes for them all.

Next year’s sailing plan is exploring more of the Ionian before the Aegean and perhaps going as far as Turkey.
