On 14.5.2012 we flew to Athens on our way back to Ariel of Hamble for the 2012 season in Greek waters.
This was the view from our hotel bedroom balcony on the first evening in Athens. The Greek communist party demonstrating regards the elections and the austerity measures.

Valerie at the Parthenon one of the most famous buildings in the world. It has stood on the Acropolis for nearly two and a half thousand years. It was built to give thanks to Athena the city’s goddess for the salvation of Athens in the Persian wars.
