Tuesday 19^th June, 2018.

Left Kira Panayia around 7.50 a.m. after a difficult exit as the sea was piling into the entrance and with the disturbed water it was impossible to see the sand bar which we knew was there having seen it the night before.  We were taking the full NE/NW wind on the nose and we had to motor sail all the way.  The sea was very rolly with a swell one way and the wind the other.  Not a very comfortable journey.

Thank goodness we arrived in the bay of Koufos by 2.45 p.m. having clocked 38.9 nautical miles.  A lovely bay with lots of fishing boats and half a dozen restaurants on first glimpse.  Camper vans were along the beach between the village/town and two hotels with lots of sunbeds. Plenty of beach area for everyone.
