We left Preveza for Lakka harbour on Paxos.  We motored out of Preveza harbour and managed to sail most of the 30 miles up to Lakka.  The wind became a little stronger in the afternoon.  Just before we got to the entrance of Lakka Jim spotted a tuna fish jumping.  Out came the fishing rod and all eyes were on the water for the fish to jump again.  There were 3 or 4 birds scanning the water and flying low over it.  Just as the birds flew up again the tuna took our line and for the next ten minutes Jim was fighting with it while Graham turned the boat on instructions from Jim.  The line snapped and off the giant went with our brand new tackle which we had been carrying around since Jersey!!

The boys were not pleased and after anchoring the boat in the harbour went off to buy a new rod, new line and some new tackle.  As we could not have fish for tea we had to make do with the tavern which does wonderful spit roast lamb.
