We left Port Spiglia and sailed west passed the island of Thilia into the Stenon Meganisiou channel. We had lots of wind and tacked back and forth across the channel showing a few flotilla boats what to do.  While we were tacking to our great excitement Jim spotted a turtle swimming on the surface which is very usually as they usually only take one or two breaths and then dive.   We signalled to the boat behind us and there was a quick about turn from them to watch the turtle that seem to stay on the surface for a lot longer than we thought it should.  Due to our amazement we were very slow in getting any photographs.

It was only just under 9 miles to Sivota of which we sailed all the way.  Sivota is a beautiful little bay with a small village enclosed with olive trees in the steep slopes and tavena’s around the small quay and small clusters of apartments around the bay.  Gordon and Jeannie were thrilled to sit in a bar and watch the England/Ireland rugby match on a large TV.

Yanni’s (old friend of Gordon’s) tavern was busy in the evening with the Sailing Holidays flotilla so we ate on board.  Later we wandered around the shops and sat and had drinks overlooking the bay.
