We have had a marvellous week with Melissa, David and the children.  We managed to go to a beach every day although two days we had to take bus rides due to the strong winds.  One of the trips by bus and ferry was to La Maddalena Island and the other to San Teodore which is on the east coast about 25 km from Olbia.  A beautiful holiday resort with some very attractive villas.

We used Ariel to take us to the beaches around Olbia as they are so close to the town and have such clear beautiful blue water with beautiful shallow water for the children. The first beach is just under 5 miles from the quay and just right for two very excited little people.  We did venture to our favourite bay about 10 miles out and the children saw the flamingos on the lak. The sun shone all week, David was asked to make a huge number of sand castles, we had lots of ice-creams, meals on board, picnics on the beach and a visit to a restaurant or two.  The little ones experienced so many new things and were absolute angels all week.  It was so very sad to wave them off at the airport but there is always next year to look forward to.
