We have had continuous heavy rain all day and therefore we have not done much at all but a little fussing on the housework.  We were sitting very comfortably anchored in the bay with a small Dutch boat yacht and a large 3 masted schooner the ‘Francesca Patricia’ from George Town Barbados.  The wind started to howl the anchor began to drag and we made for the safety of Palamos harbour and the visitors berth very quickly.  During the night the wind force was in excess of 70 miles an hour, waves coming over the pontoon. We were both up for quite a few hours.  Jim spent 3 hours outside physically holding the fenders down as the force of the yacht moving and the waves in the marina it kept riding/popping the fenders out from between the hull and the pontoon. A good game at 3am in the morning keeping 10 ton off the pontoon! The worst conditions Jim has ever seen, in a marina.
