The forecast said the wind would go light and of course it did.  Today we had 15 hours motoring with what little wind there was directly on the stern so there was no chance of any sail assistance.  This is a very empty stretch of water.  The merchant shipping routes do not go up the middle of the Atlantic.  Twice during the day something appeared on our AIS system but the range in both cases was over 100nm and to the east.  In the continued absence of a working water maker conservation measures are proving effective.
