A good sailing day with only a brief hour of motoring when the wind died but it then returned giving us 170nm over the ground in the 24 hours. Charleston and its busy approach was safely passed and the US Navy did not appear for a return, match.

And it was my birthday. Thank you to Greta for organising a cake and only putting a symbolic number of candles on it; and to Gary and Brian for in joining in a rendition of Happy Birthday.

In case you ask, I am not suffering from some unusual rigour but was in the process of giving the candles the benefit of pipers wind. The glasses were of course only for decorative purposes.
