We made our 1000am departure as planned, well 1015, having taken on fuel at Brown’s Yard and managed to dispose of the proceeds of the previous weeks oil changes in an eco friendly and approved manner.

It was just as well that we had a full fuel tank as we managed one hour without engine up to midnight.  There was wind but we do ideally require more that 8 knots up the stern to make progress and with a time window for arrival we were reluctant to play with light weather sails and arrive in the dark.

Still the sun shone and the sails provided some lift to keep the fuel consumption down.
