With necessary jobs completed and an hour behind Flomaida we set off for our Christmas and New Year cruise.  It is quite amazing to us that we have actually caught up with our original plan.  We do not seem to have stopped for more than the odd day since leaving New Caledonia on 1 October 4,750nm ago, certainly we have been moving quite quickly by cruiser standards.
