Distance run    From Liro to Revelieu Bay, Epi 19.1nm over the ground, 18.2nm through the water

The good news was that we were essentially on a reach there and back.  The not so good news was that the wind and seas were similarly robust in both directions.  Once abeam Lamen Bay, from whence we had set off, and in the shelter of Epi life became more dignified and we pressed on south to get as far as we could before darkness fell, setting the anchor in Revelieu Bay with the last of the daylight.  Fortunately the swell that made Revelieu Bay not the place to stay the previous week was not present and we spent a quiet night happy in the knowledge that we had knocked 20nm off the distance to be covered to get back to Efate.
