Distance run from Soso Bay 28nm – 28nm through the water

We decided against visiting the village at Soso and taking the opportunity to do sevusevu, which in retrospect was a mistake – next time.  On entering the bay the previous evening we had spotted a rocky outcrop surrounded by reef and I thought that perhaps this might make a good snorkelling spot.  A careful approach was made and the anchor put down in sand.

Tova Island

It turned out not to be great but there was a feeling of accomplishment.

Spot the crew

Navadra seemed to have magnetic attraction, despite the rolling anchorage and it was to there we sailed for Andrew’s last few days with us.

We found Chez Nous and Starblazer already anchored.  Chez Nous left the following day and Starblazer, John and Joyce, joined us for a pot luck supper.  They then found that they had a refrigeration problem and left for Port Denarau and an engineer leaving us to sit out another day in this wonderful spot.
