Distance run 123nm over the ground, 134nm through the water

The log says Boeuf Bourguignon. It also says that we played with the pole to some effect although with light winds from astern progress was slow. We are still encountering quite a cross current that is slowing us down

Some enchanted evening, or a star to steer her by. Not the best of photograph but the boat just would not stay still. The setting moon and a planet plus the foredeck light provides an interesting effect. Part of the magic of a night watch
