We stayed only two nights at Straits Quay as we wished to press on north to Langkawi.  The time for leaving the marina was between 1200 and 1300 and getting an hour later every day.  The first sensible anchorage for overnighting is 40nm north at Pulau Peyar and in order to do that in daylight a noon departure was called for.  Well we made it away 1240 and after a brisk motor sail picked up a mooring at Pulau Peyer about 30 minutes before dusk.
