A sunny but dreary day as we had to motor sail due to light tail winds.  Yes we could have sailed but in the conditions we would have been lucky to make 4 knots with cruising chutes, mizzen staysails, the lot.  The poled out genoa helped and for a lot of the day minimum revs, i.e. enough to get the turbo charger to cut in, gave a steady 6.5 to 7 knots.

We did however make the objective which was to get into Wings Neck, just before the Cape Cod Canal with enough light to find a free mooring.  A favourable tide all of the way up Buzzards Bay gave a good lift and we found a mooring at 1910.  The chart on the previous days entry shows a marker ‘OCC Toby Baker’.  Toby is the OCC port officer for Wings Neck.
