Slipped from Porte de Minime, la Rochelle at 11O5 (BST, UTC+1) within 5 minutes of planned departure.  Wind is light 2-3 from the south west which is of course the direction that we wish to go.  We will motor sail clear of the Iles d’Oleron and then see what happens.  The routing is to head North of West for the first 12-15 hours and then to tack onto a starboard tack towards la Corunna.  This will take us outside the 1000m line and into somewhat stronger winds.
