Whilst on our moorings we took ourselves of to the Supermarket for provisioning; walked there and taxi back, a good compromise.  We returned to the boat and then moved off the mooring to a good anchorage further out in the harbour.

Wednesday was our wedding anniversary, 37 years of marital bliss!  Excavating our bicycles from the lazarette, Elizabeth’s last used in St Martin and mine in Bermuda; they were dumped in the dinghy and taken ashore.  What a good idea.  Block Island is large enough that without transport of some sort you would really miss out on a lovely place.  Cycles are readily available for hire if you do not have them or they are too buried on the boat.  We covered the whole of the south of the island and were rewarded with great countryside and views.

We celebrated our anniversary aboard with some of the finest fresh ingredients on offer.  Garlic Prawns followed by steak to die for, champagne and a good claret.  The reward for being on board was to witness the most spectacular moon rise.
