Yesterday passed without much ado, anchored off Ilet à Cabrit.  The water is very clear so snorkelling over the coral near the shore was great and we followed this by a walk up to Fort Josephine at the top of the island whose gun positions at one time would have covered the entrances to the harbour at Bourg des Saintes on the main island of Terre de Haut.

Today we motored Caduceus across to anchor off Bourg des Saintes

in order to visit Fort Napoleon

and do some re-provisioning.  The views from the fort were panoramic as you might expect from somewhere designed as a massive defensive gun battery.

We cheated and took the municipal bus up to the fort as it closed for the day at 1230.  We did however walk down and with a slight detour came across a field of goats complete with almost as many iguanas.

Shopping, mainly a resupply of liquid refreshment completed we returned to the Ilet à Cabrit anchorage; the more observant will note, not in quite the same place as yesterday.
