25 knots of wind aft the beam makes for good sailing and with the exception of the odd very wet squall we had a fast sail leaving the Kicking Jenny underwater volcano exclusion zone to starboard and down the west side of Grenada to St George.  George, the un-sainted one,  tried his hand at fishing but concluded that the gear was too sophisticated – no strikes this time unfortunately.

The entry into St George is one of the great city views of the Windward Islands.  The fine brick buildings were built using bricks brought out from Europe when the sailing boats were in ballast and bricks were a cheap and disposable way of achieving the required weight.

We decided to spend two nights in the new Port Louis marina to give us time to explore St George .  In the evening we ate ashore at BB’s Crabback restaurant overlooking the Careenage.  The eponymous BB is Grenadian but grew up in Shepherds Bush.  We think that he had had a good lunch as service was unusual!
