We took delivery of our new Amel 54, Caduceus (III) on Monday. Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday morning were spent on very thorough briefings and
finally this afternoon we went sailing, under the very helpful guidance and
instruction of Olivier of Chantiers Amel who has been responsible for all of
our handover training with the exception of the electronics which are the
responsibility of Stephane of Pochon.

Wind NE 4-5 and no sea provided an excellent first sail On Caduceus and we
were able to set all plain sail and become accustomed to the luxury of
electric furling everything.

Return to the marina was accomplished without mishap. Perhaps Caduceus will
not be as easy to handle without the safety net of Olivier; experience with
the boat will help remove the inevitable aprehesion.
