After a good sailing the only challenge was to time the entrance to Savanah pass, arrived outside by 2 am in the morning, should not go through untill 4 am, sailed very very slowly towards the pass and felt kind of stupid. The sea was very very calm, but black dark - no moon.
Well soon before 4 I started to kick in more sails and started the engine to make sure we had backup if something would g wrong.
All lights and lighthouses working very well, and well marked (we are in France!).
Came to the entrance of the pass- and- who was boiling the water? My god was it wild! Like being on the ocean again, big waves rocked us like a toy. What would it be like if we would have gone in an outgoing tide? We had full control and we had no waves breaking on us and it lasted maybe 50 - 150 meters?
After that we had 50 miles to go in the archipellago to get to Noumea.
Very protected water and a lot of beautyful landscapes were revealed as the daylight came around 6 am.
Now we are in port and it feels like being in a big mediteranian French city.
More later!
