Those of you dreaming about setting sails and just have a great blue ocean should read this and realize what it is all about…
Yesterday was a beautiful day with a breeze and sunshine. But we are still in Falmouth, the reason being that today, monday is the big inspection day with people involved in works on board when we where at home.
So sunday, Falmouth was a big festival with people singing Shantis live and drinking beer. Lot's of grown ups dressed in pirate clothes (from the past). The kids loved it and we could enjoy part of the day just strolling around.
This is how we try to set it up, take part of the day with the children and part working. We have a list of things to do so back at the boat we started to work with stuff that need to be checked and installed etc. An hour before dinner I went for a run and came back hungry and ready for a shower. To check things out I took the forward shower and realized after a while that the drainage pump did not work. So the basin under the floor was filling with dirty shower water. Imagine the rest, a dinner and then crawling under the pipe system the rest of the night. Change pump but to be able to do that remove all pipes to the rest of the stuff. Remove floors etc etc.
Three hours later came the reward, a lovely sound of "sucking" and the water came out...
