It might sound awful getting water in the cockpit, and first time experience it is.
Now the water is 26 degrees so it is not a very chilly experience.Actually yesterday it was quite refreshing, the only problem is all the salt that remains after the water evaporates.
The most important thing is to keep the hatches closed, even in the cockpit.
Billy on Sunrise told of an experience they had getting to St Marta. Their cockpit was open and as they got pooped (that is the word for it) it looked like one of those early movies with special effects. If they had a storm there was probably a guy who threw buckets of water onto the boat.
Bill said that a wave hit the boat and a pile of water just like a bucket full flew into the saloon.

Talking to others we learned a new _expression_, "getting pooped".
When we told somebody, we just came from Columbia the question we could get was: - did you get pooped?-
Why a reflection on the word? Because I think our perception on what is happening to us is a lot connected to language description.
If I say we where smashed by a wave that sounds dramatic, but if we where pooped then it was almost fun?
Language is powerful, yesterday when we got wet I was thinking just that, we got pooped, and I smiled.
Enjoy Eastern!
