Amazing, isn't it? Life is short, I give you a little bit I wrote for the book about getting on an adventure with your family:
Visualise the goal
This is something you might have heard before, and the question remains, how do you do it? Sound so smart, but how do you do it? Well the psychologists working with athletes teach them to visualise a coming race by laying down, relax and get to the point between wake and sleep, at that point you make the whole race and that will be programmed into your brain. When you go for it the autopilot will help you achieve the gold. Great advice and with some training it will obviously work.
Let’s look at what you can do apart from hiring a coach with shrink capabilities.
We went to the Caribbean by plane, chartered a cheap small boat for 14 days.
It was an important step we took before we started the whole process. I think snorkelling with Erika and have some of the adventure the easy way was good for us. To experience the night and the moon at anchor in a shallow bay was an important visualisation and a way to see if it was worth the effort of changing life to nomads at sea.
I also think that at a certain point you will be so busy or your brain will question what you are doing to a certain degree that you will run on autopilot. That’s when you need that picture from a clear water and some beautiful corals.
