For those that remember, about a year ago our storage house caught fire and we lost everything we had gathered for the trip.
We also lost most of our memories that we had kept after moving out of our house.
Today, sitting in the shade at the Fig Tree restaurant (that is more like a community for sailors than a restaurant), Ellinor is reading a book, Erika skype with her best friend. All sitting in shorts and T-skirts, almost 30 degrees C, it feels so fortunate, so priviledged.
We are still in Bequia and it seemes to be hard to raise the "hook".
I also got a "funny" job...
The owner of Fig Tree, Cheryl is a great generous person that runs a community and tries to make some money from the restaurant. Every morning she runs a radio broadcast called sailors net. This is a way to announce news, interchange information etc. Weather is also broadcasted. When we where chatting with Cheryl the other day she just sighted that it would have been great to go to see her children in St Vincent but the radio net kept her from doing so. So I offered to do it for her so now I'm the morning voice here in the bay. That is funny because you get in contact with more sailors and locals. The problem is that I have to get up 7.15 in the morning to prepare the broadcast.
