Fatu Hiva, what a sight! What a landscape, there is
no way I would believe this place if I saw it on a picture.
We are now at anchorage on 20 meter deep water (you
know we hae to let out 5X the depth in chain?)
Felice met us and greeted, we had also a very nice
walk ashore. One can easily say that this is the country side....
We had some fishermen trying to sell fish to us,
but we had just caught a tuna before entering the bay (blue fin) The thing
is that they did not want any money, they wanted to trade. First and the most
they wanted rum but Felice had bought a lot of fruit trading
with fishing hooks.
Our hull looks like a crazy anymal, it is just
unbelieavable how much it has grown along the waterline. Barnacles that are 10
cm long!
We are very very tyred now last night we had to
navigate and also keep track of a fishing boat that was moving around in our way
(or if you ask them it's probably the opposite)
Good Night, sleep well tell you more.
21 days from Isabela to Fatu Hiva....
wow!
