Santa Barbara 1979-1984, you would think that is a long time ago.

Well as I studied to become a film producer I worked also at a hotel called Santa Barbara Inn.

Hade a lot of good working friends and Rhonda was one of them. She found me on Facebook not long ago and

when she understood we where going to land in New Zealand she connected another old friend from the front desk at the hotel, Vanessa.

So Vanessa offered us help if we needed any when coming to NZ. And this morning she and her partner Mark took us out for a real treat. A great breakfast!

They were also curious about our boat since they are thinking of doing the same as us, take off on a long trip.
