After a wonderful day with a "Rent a Wreck" travelling around south of Gotland we woke up today with a gale and rain. A perfect day to set up the PC with satellite communication so we can get weather forecast etc under way on open sea. So far we are connected with 3G.
We are still trying to fit things around in the boat and the kids play with LEGO all over...
Ellinor baked bread and we had canelloni made in the oven.
How is it to be under way? is a common question now. My first reflection that this is happening was today, running along the old city wall of Visby, the feeling of having time. Suddenly I can ask myself, is this something to be stressed about? Is this journey about learning what patience is? The preparataion has been a real test on patience, so many blocks that had to fit and so many months to wait for each one.
Usually we have excuses that we have no time (meaning it is not a priority), what is the excuse now?
So what is the first feeling? -No excuses, no it is our choice, it is our time...
The only thing that rules is the weather, so we had to stay for another day.
Tomorrow we might move on to Simrishamn a 2 day sailing route without stop.
