We are both very pleased that we took the time to sail Salsa home on our own. It has been a very good experience and a lot of thoughts that will help us in deciding how to take the next step. Because of the cold weather we have decided that our first encounter with the three year trip will just go south. We will not go by Iceland - Greenland and so on. We can save that til later, when we have more miles under the keel. When we start next year we will go south until the butter melts and then turn right...
A very important lesson learned is that we have to learn how to use time in harbor or else when the wind forces us to wait, sometimes a week or more. It is not always that you stay in those lovely places...
