Some of you have expressed concern regarding the earthquake in Fiji waters today. http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/earthquake.php?id=406640 It has been far out at sea close to 7 on the richter scale. But there is no Tsunami warning issued for the area. For you that maybe raise the question on what happens at sea when a tsunami strikes? Nothing. A tsunami is a low frequency wave that travels fast and forceful but is hardly noticed in deep sea. It is when it reaches land or shallow areas it rises and becomes dangerous.
