Now we have been publishing a lot of pictures and I'm still behind, but eventually we will post more. Ellinor has been ill for a few days, really knocked down, the kids were even joking about that she was pregnant (where do kids get everything from?). She had no energy and she was even returning food like a sea sick. So we started to talk about getting her to a doctor or a hospital. Yesterday we had Curly (a great expat that keep all the cruisers informed about everything) at our boat and we asked him for advice on who to contact, he looked at Ellinor and asked "do you drink enough?" "Of course I do" "Well your symptoms sound like dehydration, I would give it a go" So Ellinor did prepare 2 bottles of sugar/salt, as I have been very irritated lately (and Curly said that is one of the symptoms as well). So we emptied a litre each and soon thereafter the spirits just came back! I think we do not really understand how hot it is, we have from 25 degrees at night to over 30 at daytime, yes it is extremely hot, due to passing thunderstorms. On top of that we try to get things done and that makes us pro-spire like a wet rag. Today we changed the time one hour forward as Fiji is entering summertime. That is strange again, that in November you have summer in the southern hemisphere. We have thunderstorms coming in with heavy showers and with everything there s possibility.... |
