In all of polynesia you will find outrigger canoes. The design of an ocean kayak is something considered coming from the Inuits.

To my surprise I found that the locals here on Koro use a one keel canoe. I spoke to three men that let me take pictures of them and they also told me that this is the only place in

Fiji where you will find these canoes.

The take tin sheets and pend them with some wooden frames. Unfortunately they sink immediately if they turn around.

One of the guys is studying my paddle (made of cole fibre).
