| We are hammered down by the weather but will not give up. We work inside the boat and it feels good to say all systems are now up and running, the only thing left is the rigg check. What have we done in Whitianga? Diesel generator= Cleaned system and refurbished thermostat - all running smooth and clean Main engine aligned, newly serviced, propeller shaft with new bearings and propeller serviced New start battery All batteries checked and in good condition Rudder= new shaft and new greasing system Rudder= enforced Hull= new epoxy and new antifouling Front hatch= new Teak deck= all tight with sicasflex and 300 new plugs Sails=maintaned and repaired New bowsprit for genacker (100 NZD) New Autopilot brain and interface New man over board system Outboard newly serviced by professional New cool water pump for fridge Newly serviced fridge Bilges cleaned and system tested Hull polished to great condition and protected Food in every possible compartment All computers updated And so on... You could say we got a lot done here thanks to great people and their companies, and also our own hard labour. Since I don't have a good underwater camera this will do for a picture, you can't see New Zealand under the bad weather!  |
