We are still stuck in Figuera da Foz. On saturday
night we decided to adapt to dining times here in Portugal and went out by 8
pm.
The result? Two children that did not want any food
and that almoust fell asleep on the way home. What kept them up was the TV in
the restaurant. It is really strange to sit with your back to a TV and watch
people watching...
In the marina there is Norwegian boat, stuck as
well (the harbour is now closed due to big swell), the skipper that is
delivering the boat to the Canary islands has done a three year sailing trip in
2009. I asked him how it was to get home, - terrible, he said. You will miss
this life. -Well, I said, for me it is the opposite right now, hard to find a
meaning in this. - Well, he said, after six months your shoulders will drop and
you will relax. You will learn that it's not the clock, it's the weather that
command your actions. So you learn to live with it and appreciate it
to.
So the weather looks like we might get a window big
enought to go to Madeira on friday, but you never
know
